Governance and Board of Trustees of the Award
Based on Amiri Decision No. 63 of 2023, the Board of Trustees of the Qatar Government Excellence Award was formed within the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau. The Committee is responsible for managing the Award’s affairs and achieving its objectives, in a way that reinforces the principles of transparency and integrity.
Formation of the Board of Trustees
- Chairperson: His Excellency the President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau
- Vice Chairperson: A representative of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau
- Committee Members: Representatives of several government entities, whose positions must not be below Director of Department or equivalent; each entity nominates its representative, and their appointment is issued by a decision from the President of the Bureau
- Secretariat: One or more employees of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau who serve as the Committee Secretariat; their assignment and responsibilities are set by a decision from the President of the Bureau

The Board of Trustees is chaired by His Excellency the President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, with a representative from the Bureau as Vice Chairperson, and includes representatives from the following entities:

Committee Responsibilities
The Committee is entrusted with managing the Award’s affairs to achieve its objectives, and specifically:
- Setting the criteria required to grant the Award and identifying its categories and levels, as appropriate.
- Approving the Award’s logo.
- Establishing guidelines, principles, instructions, and procedures related to the Award.
- Setting the Award cycle timeline.
- Determining the list of participating entities for each cycle.
- Selecting members of evaluation and judging teams.
- Approving the Award’s results and announcing them.
- Establishing the Award’s communication plan and overseeing its implementation.
- Proposing the required annual financial allocations for the Award.
